Our Director Geoff Mead’s first book Coming Home to Story: Storytelling Beyond Happily Ever After was published by Vala Publishing on 1st November 2011
This is a book about the magic of stories and storytelling, and their power to liberate the human spirit. It takes the reader inside the experience of telling and listening to stories to show how stories and storytelling engage our imaginations, enable us to make sense of the world around us, and bring adventure and passion into our lives.
It is also the intimate and moving story of someone determined to find his way to a more creative and satisfying life. The narrative is interspersed with masterly retellings of traditional folktales from all over the world. The book is beautifully illustrated with Chris Seeley’s imaginative wood-cuts.
